Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior JavaScript Developer proficient in Node.js, Express.js, React.js, and advanced MongoDB concepts. The ideal candidate will also have significant experience in DevOps practices, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and hands-on familiarity with GCP services like BigQuery. As a Senior JavaScript Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and contributing to technical excellence within the organization.

Responsibility

• Design, develop, and maintain complex web applications using Node.js, Express.js, Nest.js, and React.js, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless functions to support application functionality and integrations.
• Utilize advanced MongoDB concepts, including aggregation pipelines, transactions, and schema design, to optimize database performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate React.js components and create seamless user interfaces that enhance user experience.
• Implement DevOps best practices to automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes, leveraging tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Configure and manage infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform, including compute instances, networking, storage, and security features.
• Utilize GCP services such as BigQuery for data analytics and insights, optimizing queries and data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
• Monitor application performance, identify and troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in JavaScript development, DevOps, and cloud computing, and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a JavaScript developer, with strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, Nest.js, and React.js.
• Extensive experience with MongoDB, including advanced concepts such as aggregation pipelines, transactions, and schema design.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools, with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Familiarity with GCP services like BigQuery for data analytics and insights.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in JavaScript development, DevOps, and cloud computing.
