Sweden Unlimited is one of the top ecommerce agencies for fashion, lifestyle, luxury and beauty brands. We are searching for a talented and experienced Senior Developer to join our team. This position requires skills in building ecommerce websites using the latest front-end technologies. In this role you will be passionate about writing clean, reusable code with strong emphasis on stability and performance. To be successful in this role you will be organized, great with clients, self-sufficient, and able to deliver on time and according to requirements. 

What you’ll do:

• Participate in initial client facing intake sessions to determine and document project technical requirements
• Collaborate with our talented design and project management teams to transform requirements into robust solutions
• Provide technical advice and input to the scope of work including platform recommendations, hosting, migration, 3rd party plug-ins and overall technical specifications for each project
• Work to help architect, develop, test and deploy new components & site features for our clients
• Collaborate with the Creative Team to translate visual designs into responsive front end code
• Assist with the integration / onboarding of new technologies and applications
• Provide long term solutions and short term options for common maintenance requests
• Build out custom Shopify themes and modifying pre-existing themes depending on the scope of the project
• Implement marketing pixels and client-specific integrations
• Represent Sweden in a professional manner during sales calls/meetings where technical input necessary
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously

Skills & Requirements:

• 4-6 years experience in a professional development environment, with at least 2 years of experience developing custom Shopify themes, agency experience a plus
• Expertise in Shopify Liquid template language
• Demonstrate a mastery of HTML, CSS/SCSS & JavaScript; Vue.js and/or React.js experience a plus
• Well-versed in Git version control system
• Proficient with best practices in responsive development
• Proven results in performance-focused development and optimization
• Fundamental understanding of Shopify and its API / Application ecosystem
• Familiarity with Wordpress a plus
• Familiarity with WCAG and accessibility best practices
• Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills with ability to stay well-organized between a variety of projects
• A passion for front-end architecture and learning new technologies
• Deep understanding of ecommerce solutions, web design, development process, and third party applications
• Ability to work independently to solve technical problems, mitigate risk, make decisions, and communicate effectively under tight deadlines and challenging situations
• Ability to work in a small and fast paced boutique environment
• Experience mentoring and troubleshooting alongside junior and mid-level developers
