Job Description

Admiral is looking for a mid-level or senior-level engineer to help us expand our platform. You'll be working on mature, well-maintained backend and frontend systems built using Go microservices and occasionally React/JavaScript client applications, and you'll have an important mission: Build a more balanced content ecosystem on the web, with better privacy controls and more equitable and long lasting relationships between content creators and their audiences.

What you'll do:

• Be an important member of a small and productive team
• Build and take responsibility for backend services that serve and support billions of pageviews
• Commit, review, and test high quality code
• Implement new features, services, and internal tooling
• Provide input and collaborate on product roadmap and future functionality
• Help improve consumer choice and publisher sustainability across the internet

Skills & requirements

• Must have experience writing highly-scalable back-end applications
• Must have strong written communication skills
• Must be familiar with deploying and operating software in the cloud
• Nice to have familiarity with databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Nice to have experience writing microservices in Go
• Nice to have experience writing front-end web applications in JavaScript/TypeScript
