Job Description

If you are passionate about great design, user-centered solutions, and working toward a more sustainable and equitable future, come join our close-knit team of professionals! PRI is a digital consultancy that leverages strategic thinking, engineering, and storytelling to create impactful digital experiences for mission-driven organizations. We seek highly motivated, creative problem-solvers who bring diverse perspectives. We are based out of New Jersey, but are a globally distributed team.

We’re looking for a curious UI/UX Designer who thrives in a deeply collaborative environment. You obsess over beautifully crafted experiences, love solving challenging problems, and diving head-first into something new. You have a diverse background and your skills extend from digital to print. You build meaningful relationships with your coworkers that bring ideas to life in new and innovative ways.

This is a six-month contract-to-hire position. Not in New Jersey? Not a problem — we’re a distributed team.

Responsibilities

  • Work well with other designers, creatives, and developers in a collaborative setting
  • Take direction and communicate with Art Director and senior team members to receive feedback
  • Support the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects for various clients
  • Gather user requirements and conduct research as needed (surveys, card testing, etc.) to gather feedback on user experience and satisfaction for various client websites and products
  • Conduct testing as needed throughout the project lifecycle

  • Build storyboards to conceptualize designs to accurately convey project plans to clients and senior management
  • Amend final designs to clients’ comments and gain full approval
  • Create images, graphical interfaces, and high-fidelity designs
  • Create design systems and work with the Engineering team to facilitate their use
  • While the majority of your responsibilities will revolve around strategic UI/UX design, there will still be a need for overflow help with graphic design tasks — including but not limited to: social media graphics, email design, image research and editing, and possible print work as needed by the team

  • Excellent design sensibilities and an interest in improving skills/continued education
  • Passion for researching and staying up to date on UX trends and current design strategy and technologies
  • Ability to work as part of a distributed team, with the discipline to work from remote location
  • Meet tight deadlines for projects
  • Provide daily updates and progress as required
  • Ability to see print projects through prepress to commercial printing is a plus
